About Child's Play
Hi! I’m Carole.
I'm a Behaviour Analyst with over 15 years of experience in ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) and Special Education. I work with many different types of learners, including young children with neurodevelopmental disorders and language delays, older kids working on activities of daily life or managing challenging behaviour, and even adults in supported employment, day centres, and residential care.

Education & Experience
I’ve worked in the public, private and charitable sectors here in Ireland, and with some of the top clinics and programs internationally. I am interested in learning as much as I can to help my learners and better understand the interventions they may be offered. As well as my master’s studies in Psychology and ABA, I have completed training in Early Start Denver Training (ESDM), Pivotal Response Training (PRT), DIR Floortime, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), QBS Safety Care, CALM Crisis Management, Talk Tools and the SOS Approach to Feeding.
From these experiences I’ve learned - and keep learning! - what works and what doesn’t. I believe I see such amazing progress with my learners because of ABA. Like all sciences, ABA can give truly incredible results when done right, although it can be abused and misunderstood. ABA is more than a set of token boards or tricks to reduce problem behaviour. It is a holistic approach to identifying underlying deficits, understanding how we learn best, and creating ‘SMART’ goals to improve a learner’s quality of life.

Personal Story
I’m not yet Board Certified but that is my goal - one severe case of endometriosis, surgery and 2 beautiful babies pushed my dates out a bit! In the meantime, I work with BCBAs from across the world to make sure programs are the best they can be.
My goal with Child’s Play ABA is to make effective, evidence-based interventions easily accessible, understandable and affordable to anyone who needs them, no matter where in the world they are.
